Five quick checks

Could this suit me?

  1. Business: farm, horticulture, food processor, producer organisation or separate rural trading business?
  2. Purpose: woodland, production innovation, specialist expertise, processing investment, environmental action or an ongoing payment?
  3. Status: open now, ongoing for existing participants, or only being watched?
  4. Scale and category: project cost, land area, business size and DAERA farm-business category within range?
  5. Timing: no order, deposit or project start before the official rules allow it?

If a key fact is unknown, the answer is more information needed—not “eligible”. Official administrators make eligibility and award decisions.

How we check it

The Farming Edge checks primary DAERA, CAFRE and Invest NI pages and links readers to the official source. Status, deadlines and terms can change. We keep historical rounds separate and do not project old rates or item lists into future calls.

2 November update: moved Farming with Nature Higher to closed after the 30 October deadline; elevated the 5 November SFIS offer-acceptance action; retained the open Horticulture call and 9 November Landscape Projects opening; checked Small Woodland dates, which remain unannounced beyond “late November”; and confirmed that Invest NI’s Shared Island Sustainability Challenge Fund eligibility checker has already closed. Unchanged entries retain their previous source-check date.
